Common Bidder Questions
After registering, you can begin bidding by clicking on the item you are interested in & placing your bid. Be sure to follow the minimum bid increase guidelines.
There are no additional fees for buyers beyond the final bid amount. The buyer also pays shipping costs.
We vet all sellers & their items for authenticity. For high-value items, we offer additional verification services to ensure you receive genuine & as-described skate gear.
If an item is not as described, please contact us immediately. We have a dispute resolution process to protect our buyers & ensure a fair outcome. Read more in our Return Policy.
Due to the nature of auctions, items generally cannot be returned unless they are significantly not as described. We encourage buyers to carefully review item descriptions & images before bidding. For more information, we invite you to read our Return Policy.
Common Seller Questions
Once registered, you can list items by clicking the "Sell" option. Provide a detailed description, upload high-quality images & set your starting bid or
reserve price.
SKATE BIDS LIMITED TIME PROMOTION: NO LISTING FEES! .99¢ listing fee will be waived for our first 60 days in business! (7.5% commission will be collected on final sales price.)
Listing Fee:
There is a .99¢ listing fee for all auctions.
If an item doesn't sell at auction end, seller can relist the same auction a 2nd time at no charge.
.99¢ listing fee applies to any additional listing of the same auction after 2nd listing & 7.5% commission is collected.
Commission:
7.5% commission fee on the final sale price.
Sales tax & shipping totals are not subject to any commission.
You can track all bids on your items through your Skate Bids account dashboard. You will receive notifications of new offers & can view your offer history at any time.
If your listing doesn't sell on the 1st go round, you can relist for a 2nd time without paying the .99¢ listing fee. If the auction doesn't sell after the 2nd listing, there will be a .99¢ listing fee for any additional auctions.
Once the auction is completed, the sale amount—minus the platform’s fee of 7.5%—will be transferred to the account you
registered.
